Veja se eu entendi bem: Inicialmente temos uma bacia com 18 litros de água a 24ºC. Depois despeja-se uma certa quantidade de água a 72ºC e esta mistura de águas vai atingir o equilíbrio a 36ºC, desprezando-se qualquer perda de calor para o ambiente ou para a bacia. Se for isso:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A água a 24ºC vai absorver calor e a água a 72ºC vai emitir calor. No equilíbrio a 36ºC estas quantidades serão iguais:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Q absorvido = m1.c.DeltaT1&lt;br /&gt;Q emitido = m2.c.DeltaT2&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;m1.c.(36-24) = m2.c.(72-36)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;m1.12 = m2.36&lt;br /&gt;m1 = 3.m2&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Considerando que o volume específico (m^3/kg) da água não varie muito no intervalo de temperaturas de 24 a 72ºC, podemos dizer que a mesma relação em massa irá se aplicar no volume (isto é uma aproximação). Outra aproximação é que o &amp;quot;c&amp;quot; da água é aproximadamente constante neste intervalo de temperaturas. Por isso que os &amp;quot;c&amp;quot; cortam.
